'nuff said.

drool.

so last weekend was really really hectic for me.

on saturday, tropicana had this kind of. street party thing. and yea. loads of food. ate like a glutton. 'nuff said.

sunday, however, was spent watching not one, but two movies!

in the morning, (heh, i woke up late) i watched deceptible despicable me with amanda koh. we were originally supposed to watch it with like. 10 other people, but everyone else bailed because a certain someone booked the wrong time AND lost the booking number.

poor manda and i ended up having to line up and re-purchase the seats.

the movie was nice. :) i totally spaced and forgot to bring money along, so manda had to act as the 'guy' and pay for everything. :P

after that, i watched inception with my family.

it. was. AWESOME.

my favorite moment : [spoiler-ish alert! - also, please note that this isn't exactly what they said. i paraphrased]

ariadne : why are they staring at us?

arthur : they're looking for the dreamer, me. quick gimme a kiss.

*smooch*

ariadne : they're still looking at us.

arthur : [smirk] well, it was worth a shot.

the entire theatre was aww-ing i tell you! and it totally helped that the not-really-couple-but-you-can-soooo-see-the-romantic-tension consisted of

a) joseph gordon-levitt

and

b) ellen page

both of whom are amazing at what they do. hehe.

so basically, what i want to say is.

WATCH INCEPTION. [and despicable me]

totally worth your money. :)

shmirk.

i seem to be updating this blog pretty regularly now. probably because i'm uber lazy and this is just another way for me to procrastinate. :)

anyway, nura's sweet sixteenth was last sunday.

one word :

awebulous.

hahaha. there was garlic bread. :) this resulted to alot of teasing about my bad garlic breath. :(

everything else was kinda fuzzy - probably due to the fact that my glasses were hijacked. -_-

the birthday girl and i in CILC. :)

i need some kind of incentive in my life. really.

oodles of noodles.

i have a google shirt! :)

for the sake of propriety.

yesterday was commencements. during which i was a traybearer. meaning i had to stand for the entire duration of the ceremony, thus causing my legs to now resemble jelly.

to console me, my dad offered to get me ben & jerry's. so today, off we went in search of a pint of the lovely thing that they call ice cream.

in the end, we found it. i got myself a pint of half baked ben & jerry's whilst my dad got a tub of very rocky road. hehe.

i should really be doing my homework.

and i say.

on friday, my mom took my sister and i out to borders at the curve coz of some promotion astro was having [astrolife i think]. anyway, it literally felt like heaven for me. you see, all the books were on sale. every single book was being sold at a discounted price - ranging from 10% - 70%! :D

so, being the opportunist i am, i saw my chance. you see, my mother very very very very very very rarely lets me buy books. in fact, almost all my books have either been

a) birthday/christmas presents

or

b) bought by yours truly - through some really hardcore saving and angpau money

therefore, because this was a once in a lifetime chance that i simply could not pass up, i mean come on, it was so cheap! i begged my mom to allow me to buy 3 books. :) she agreed, but only with the condition that these books are to be my birthday presents and like the little nerd i am, i agreed. :P

this, actually, isn't the reason i'm blogging right now. i just really really wanna vent about the stooooooooopid ending of the key, which is the last book of the guardians of time series by marianne curley - the series i ended up purchasing as my b'day prezzie.

there are three books altogether, namely the named, the dark and the key.

here's the rough synopsis of the entire series, thanks to wikipedia. :)

The plot of the trilogy consists of the Guardians of Time (the Guard), trying to protect the past, present, and future by traveling into the past to thwart their enemies, the Order of Chaos (the Order), who are trying to change past events to give themselves more power.

whilst this may sound really retarded and geeky, the series is actually pretty good.

now, i don't know if you know this, but i'm one to skip to the endings of books. :P i donno why, but i concur.

so after reading the first book [coz i needed to get to know the characters first], i skipped straight to the last few pages of the key and discovered that my favorite character, a boy named ethan, ends up getting together with this really really humongous prat who goes by the name of rochelle. I MEAN COME ON. :(

he's hot, and while she may be described as not ugly, THEY DO NOT BELONG TOGETHER.

reasons why marianne curley should really re-release the key and change the ending :

a) rochelle is mean. like. really really really mean. [she totally ruined matt and ethan's friendship! even though she was under the influence of the order, i still say this is no excuse]

b) she was a spy for the order. SHE WORKED FOR THE BAD GUYS. hmph.

c) she's not hot enough for ethan. point is, no one's hot enough for him. :P

yes, well. whilst these may not seem like very dominant factors, i still say it's WRONG for them to be together.

i'm afraid all three books will have to go into temporary storage until i can get over my longing to throw the key at the wall.

p/s : the whole arkarian and isabel pairing is just plain weird. which parent names his kid arkarian?????

funkay town.

hello there!

it's 10.52 pm and i'm currently skyping with amanda koh. whilst she's on the phone with mit. here's my bored look.

we're trying to practice our english oral. about exams. and not just ANY exams, but the maybe-to-be-abolished public exams. yup.

currently speaking with a british accent and amusing amanda with my amazing wit. :)

i just realized. it's really hard to speak with a british accent in malay. heh.

because love, love is never finished.

i feel a headache coming on. sigh.

it's not even like we've had an unbelievable amount of homework lately! (not to jinx it, of course) for some strange reason, i've been

crankier, wackier, 'abusive-er', meaner... the list goes on and on and on.

maybe it's due to the fact that i'm itching like crazy and my nose is a leaking tap. maybe.

i really need to hurry up and destroy the unknown substance that is causing my stoopid allergic reaction.

or i just might end up blowing the world into smithereens with my temper.

p/s : sweethearts by sara zarr is such an amazing read. it kinda made me tear up a little bit. :P the title of this post is actually my favorite line from this book, sappy as it may seem. :)

maybe.

it's JULY!

wowzers. time sure flies. :P

anywayyyy, i haven't had internet this past week, so i'm cherishing it right now. i have like, twenty tabs open. :P

so yesterday was my sister's ballet concert. the theme? glee-fully malaysian.

quite cool, quite cool. :)

watching the grade 7 juniors dance made me feel so. nostalgic. sigh.

but i digress.

i thought the performances were really, really good. mhmm. the singing was nice too, albeit a little random.

ooh.

we had indonesian exchange students visiting our school last week. well, technically because it's sunday, this week. yup. :)

what else, what else?

because of my lack of internet, i spent my entire (eventless) week watching

i managed to finish all three seasons, and i just have to say,

SUPERMAN IS A SPY. :O

i'm procrastinating. i should really be writing my duty report, probate report, sejarah essay dialog thing.

so.

adios, amigos!

birds of a feather flock together.
